Without a doubt, this was one of the
highlights of the trip so far – going to the very remote Baird Bay (a tiny
little hamlet on the west coast of the Eyrie Peninsula with about 7 houses and
a small campground) and going swimming with the sea lions and the dolphins. It
was a very bumpy half an hour on a rutted road to get there, but it was so
worth it once we did. We stayed in a great little free campground right on the water and were treated to the most beautiful sunset on our arrival (the night before our sea lions trip).
Toby, Fiona, Anna (12), Indra (11) and Zoe (9) spend 6 months travelling around Australia in a camper van.
