Day 2 - Australian Open

Day two in Melbourne and it was off to the Australian Open - how could we resist? When are we next going to be in Melbourne at exactly the right time? It was a beautiful day - hot but not too hot - and we just bought ground passes to hang out around the open courts. It also gave us access to the HiSense Stadium where we managed to catch Dimitrov playing - and he's still in the running! The girls weren't really that interested in the tennis (poor Toby - he wasn't really allowed to get into it) but there was a great atmosphere and we found a fun kids zone that brightened things up. Plus ice cream always helps. The sun is amazingly strong here though - and even with tons of sunscreen and our hats etc. the girls still got too much sun just from 10 minutes exposure in the stadium. That is going to be one of the challenges here...
