Esperance was a our first stop after the Nullarbor, and we loved it. We stayed for three days in a tiny little caravan park at the end of the Esplanade and enjoyed the newly-renovated foreshore in town. We inadvertently arrived for the Festival of the Wind, and benefitted from some of the free activities laid on. We also loved the beaches to the east and west of town. As soon as we arrived in town we went straight to Twilight Beach, about five minutes from the centre. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we had it almost to ourselves. After the long and dusty drive through the Nullarbor it felt like paradise.

I think we could do with a Don's Gazebo in our little town |
This was the Esperance model railway, complete with a fully functioning miniature clock tower! All built by volunteers. |
The beautiful sculpture on the foreshore. |
Toby trying his first 'hokey pokey' (vanilla ice cream with bits of honeycomb). Another Australian treat that met with his approval. |
We enjoyed the big lighthouse on the point |
It was so tall! |
Ah ha! Gotcha. Indie and Zoe had fun with their misleading photos - it was another miniature landmark. |
