I forgot this little geological stop we made on the road from Baird Bay to Ceduna. These big rocks in a famer's field are known as 'Murphy's Haystacks' because the fields belonged to farmer Murphy and a geologist from England in the early 1900s saw the rocks from a distance and just dismissed them as 'haystacks'. Oops. It was a quick stop and a hot and sunny one but the girls enjoyed 'surfing' on the rock wave.
It was very hot and we'd forgotten our hats in the van. |
