Beachport

After Tantanoola, it was on to Beachport on the coast. It was a quiet stop – first a swim in the Pool of Siloam which is advertised as 7x saltier than the sea and so lets you float instead of swim (very murky water though and Toby complained it smelled mainly of birds) and then to a little caravan park right by the ocean. Beachport is known for its rock lobsters, but by this point in the season most of the fishermen have fished their quotas and so not many were still coming in. Still – a really good fish’n’chips was to be had (butterfish, this time, which was delicious) and the sunset and sunrise on the beach were something to behold.
