Robe

Ah, Robe. We gave ourselves two nights in Robe to try to regroup a little and plan our next weeks a little more carefully. It was a great choice! We scored a fantastic camp site overlooking the ocean in a lovely little caravan park right on the beach and only about five minutes walk to the centre of town. Robe's a lovely little arty town with great shops and cafes and a friendly local library that the girls loved and spent a lot of time in (we are trying to make good use of any community libraries we stumble across - the girls could spend hours in them. And did I mention they're air-conditioned?). I splashed out and bought some rock lobster (crayfish, really) for our lunch. (And by 'our', I mean mine and Toby's.) It wasn't very different to Canadian lobster (except in the price - whew! I tried not to look) but I felt we had to try some while here.

Rock lobster and a glass of wine for lunch - life's good

Seaweed art - Zoe did a flip-flop (or 'thongs' as they're called here and which I can't quite bring myself to call - out loud at least)

Look! It's Australia! (With the big Canadian bite)

    1. Hi Prit! Lovely to hear from you. Yes - we do have our basic overall route planned - we're heading towards WA and the Nullarbor in the next few days and then it will be up the west coast via Ningaloo to Darwin and Kakadu and then straight down the middle to Alice Springs. The only place we're not getting to is northern Queensland. We've saved the Great Barrier Reef for the end. Exciting! Toby and Indie cage dived with a Great White shark yesterday - amazing! Hope all is well on the farm - we think of you guys often. Fi
